Dermatology & Laser of Del Mar now offers ThermiTight®, the latest in minimally invasive skin tightening treatments. ThermiTight® uses a thin radio frequency probe to gently heat the subdermal tissue to a temperature  optimal for collagen stimulation. Within a few short weeks patients see a firmer jawline and sharper contour to their neck. When applied to body area’s such as; knees, abdomen, or arms patients have been very satisfied. Their skin is firmer and more toned in appearance.

How many ThermiTight®  treatments will I need?

Patients typically have one ThermiTight® treatment, however if you have a significant amount of laxity you will benefit from doing more than one. It is important to note that results are additive.

How much improvement will I see?

It is difficult to estimate the amount of improvement a patient will see. It will depend on your tolerance, the degree of laxity, or amount of loose skin, and your overall skin health. All-in-all ThermiTight® patients are very satisfied with the results they see in just a few short weeks.

What body areas can I treat with ThermiTight®?

The neck and jowls are the most popular areas. The arms, abdomen, knees, inner thighs and the back (bra fat) also respond very well to treatment with ThermiTight®.

Does ThermiTight® hurt?

The ThermiTight® treatment area is infused with a tumescent lidocaine solution prior to the procedure. This makes the procedure more comfortable. Patients may opt for oral medication to reduce discomfort

I’ve had a facelift, can I still have ThermiTight® ?

Yes! ThermiTight® is very popular with patients that have had cosmetic surgery and want a minimally invasive way to maintain the results.

What is my downtime after ThermiTight® ?

Most patients have swelling, and mild to moderate discomfort for 24 to 72 hours. In cases where the patient has more laxity or more excess fat, swelling and discomfort may last longer.  Mild to moderate bruising may also occur in the treatment area.
Patients should also plan to wear a compression garment for 24 hours after the procedure, then at night for the first 3-4 nights.
