Dr. Jason Lupton was born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and completed his undergraduate and medical training at Georgetown University. He completed a one-year internal medicine internship at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, CA, and completed his dermatology training in Washington, DC, at the George Washington University Medical Center and the Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Lupton subsequently completed a one-year laser surgery fellowship at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery with the renowned laser expert, Dr. Tina S. Alster.
Dr. Lupton's clinical expertise includes all aspects of laser surgery and aesthetic dermatology. He has authored over 40 articles, book chapters, and reviews within the peer-reviewed literature. He lectures extensively on laser surgical techniques both nationally and internationally as well as instructs other physicians in the newest laser trends at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.
In addition, he regularly hosts physicians in training in the office and teaches dermatology residents through his academic appointment at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Lupton is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the San Diego Dermatology Society.
Dr. Lupton lives in La Jolla, CA, with his wife, daughter and son and enjoys traveling, tennis, and skiing in his spare time.
